Carbonated Apple Drink and Bad Football

Down at 'my' local pub watching what I think is Bristol City against Man City in the League Cup. Actually, I was hoping to see Arsenal playing Sparta Prague. I've got a back up plan though in shape of a paperback. It's a shame that I haven't read the whole Last King of Scotland yet. And now I'm waiting for the last Harry to be delivered by Royal Mail. Well, it's good to be back in Newcastle so I can take a few steps more towards my placement. One year left...

Happiness

This is a picture from when the Sweden U19 women's team in basketball had defeated Serbia in the world championships semi final. Eventually Sweden lost the final against the USA (surprisingly!). Anyway, I am really proud of them and I wish them the best of luck in future campaigns.

Today Simon has:

Listened to Steve Wright in the Afternoon
Read information on various bank accounts
Noticed that Sweden lacks a debate about the VAT which is the highest in Europe at 25 %

Flights and more

I have now booked my flight for Christmas. Beat that if you can! =)

Unfortunately, I am afraid that this does not mean that I will start doing other stuff well before any set deadline. In this case I was probably just greedy and wanted a fair price. Not to mention the chunk of frequent flyer points...

I am also quite happy that I am not involved in PETA, as the TIC is packed with stuffed animals.

Well. It is only this week left for me at work now. Then it is back to the UK, but first I will go to the northeast of the county with Evelina to see Peter.

Uni does not start until September 24, which means that I will have plenty of time to settle and waste money. Luckily it is only one year left to my placement year. I am so looking forward to it and I have a few ideas. Tbc...

Today Simon has:

Listened to cars passing by
Read fantasy football instructions on The Times' web site
Noticed that the weather is awesome after a fortnight of rain

Ten days

Sorry for the long break. But sometimes time flies - which is, in most cases, good I think.

Today included, I have only ten days left on my job here at the tourist info centre in Åsele. It has been a great job and I have really enjoyed working here.

As this is a job which is occasionally very calm, I have had the opportunity to read a lot and sort out some thoughts concerning the third year placement. Actually I have had time to sort out a lot of things.

But now I am only hungry. One hour left to my lunch break. As my parents are away for a few days I need to sort out meals myself. Probably good to get back to that habit again. And I enjoy cooking anyway...

Today Simon has:

Listened to people on the phone
Read a couple of news pages on the web
Noticed that his English was not at its peak
